Telluride in the summer is synonymous with music festivals and celebration, and is known as the Festival Capital of Colorado. 2015 has been a record-breaking year in attendance for the festivals which kicked off the summer season starting with the 42nd annual Telluride Bluegrass Festival. The Telluride Bluegrass Festival ushered in nearly 12,000 festivarians over the summer solstice weekend of June 18-21, while the 4th annual The Ride Festival had record attendance with almost 9,000 fans over the July 11-12. The Town of Telluride also had record crowds for its July Fourth Celebration approaching nearly 20,000 people.
